We recently discussed recruiting with one of the biggest 2012 targets in Ohio in Dwayne Stanford. Currently ranked in the top 100 recruits nationally by Rivals.com, he has scholarship offers from most of the big programs across the country. At 6’5” 185 lbs. and the ability to get high in traffic to make a catch or get consistent yards after a catch, he will be coveted by many programs this recruiting season.

We asked Dwayne Stanford about his best moment at the high school level while playing at Cincinnati Taft. “One of my most highlighted moments was when I jump and caught a touchdown with one hand thru 3 defenders.”

He has begun taking several college visits including one to OSU. “I have been to Tennessee And Ohio State.”, he told us. And with the recent resignation of Buckeye head football coach Jim Tressel, Stanford should become more open to schools outside of his home-state.

He plans to begin taking more visits shortly. “After basketball is over I will be taking plenty more.” He has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Purdue to name a few.

He is not ready to make a decision at this time but could as soon as he feels confident in a college program. “No, once I feel I know for sure where I want to go I will decide then.” he explained when we contacted him.

The two most important factors: ”Location and tradition.”
