Lineman Chris Carter Signs with Ohio State after Incident

John F. Kennedy offensive lineman Chris Carter finally signed a Letter of Intent on Tuesday to play for the Buckeyes in 2011. The big 6’6” 320lbs member of Ohio State’s 2011 recruiting class was scheduled to sign with the rest of the members of the class February 2nd but was held out until an incident at school was cleared up. Cleveland police were not able to find enough evidence and dropped the charge of misdemeanor sexual imposition. Ohio State’s class now stands at 24 members and is ranked 3rd in the country by Scout.com.

Carter spent the night in jail on February 1st when he should have been preparing for a press conference at school. But now he has been cleared and the coaching staff at Ohio State is looking forward to having him on the roster in August. The Buckeyes will lose four senior lineman at the end of the 2011-2012 season, therefore they need a couple strong line classes to offset the graduating seniors. Buckeyes begin Spring camp at the end of March and hold their Spring Game at Ohio Stadium on April 23rd.
