Eric Howard, Hoover North Canton Running Back
Eric Howard 2010

Eric Howard, Hoover North Canton Running Back

Eric Howard, a Hoover North Canton Running Back, currently favors Ohio State for his 2010 college commitment. The 5'10", 210 lbs prospect is one of the best running backs in Ohio and put up some very impressive numbers this last year.

By Steve Patterson

Often compared to some of the best running back and safety prospects in the State of Ohio, Eric Howard has dominated other teams in High School on both sides of the ball. One of his best qualities is his leadership on the field as he told us recently. "Some of my best attributes are my will to win and getting players on my team pumped and ready for the game."

Howard likes to compete against the big programs in the state and when Hoover goes up against Massilion or McKinley, he is even more pumped than usual. "Beating Massilion every time I have played against them and same with Mckinley has been the highlight of my career so far." he explained.

This past season Howard had unbelievable numbers not seen in the state since Chris 'Beanie' Wells was a senior and Mike Doss played High School defense. "I had 404 carries for 2,387 yards and 31 touchdowns this past years. I also had 23 catches for 425 yards 3 touchdowns. On defense I had 98 tackles, 8 for loss, 4 sacks and 2 interceptions."
