Other College Offers for Kourt Williams

Kourt Williams has talent, and this is known by the numerous college offers that he received prior to committing to Ohio State. Williams took immediate interest in Penn State, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma as his top three choices from the start. Penn State was among the top prospects for Williams, and it should be noted that he did visit the campus twice to talk things over with coaches and players. As time moved forward the list eventually grew to 5, and Ohio State began to look like his number one choice. The California native then began to look at the offers and choices that were presented to him. During the spring season he visited several of his top prospects: Texas A&M on April 26th, Oklahoma on May 3rd, Penn State June 7th, and finally Ohio State on June 21st. All of the schools mentioned have excellent football programs, and even offered him scholarships (among 20 other schools). It became clear that Ohio State was starting to win the battle after his attendance at the 2020 Buckeyes recruiting barbecue. The recruiting deal included a scholarship of course.

The Ohio State 2020 Class

Ohio State had recently received offensive talent prior to Williams committing to their university, and it was clear that they were looking to add some defensive talent to their roster. Ohio State is recognized as one of the top football schools in the nation, so it is clear that they wanted the 12th ranked outside linebacker in the country for that particular recruiting year. The Ohio State roster after this current recruiting year is looking very strong with an abundance of four start talent on both sides of the football.
