Ohio State Buckeye Recruiting at the BrutusReport.com

Ohio State is in the midst of another great recruiting class with 15 high school juniors already committed for the 2011 class. The BrutusReport.com is covering many of the recruits as they sign with the Buckeyes and some that have received offers and are still considering other college options.

Devin Smith from Massilon Commits to Ohio State for 2011

Devin Smith was the most recent to verbally commit to Jim Tressel and the Buckeye coaching staff. He is a wide receiver from Massillon Washington High School near Cleveland that showed well at OSU’s senior camp this month. After receiving his offer he only took three days to decide and become a part of the class.

Joel Hale Becomes the Newest 2011 OSU Buckeye

Joel Hale comes from a little further away than Devin Smith, Greenwood, Indiana. One of the top 50 defensive tackles in the country, Hale liked what he saw on the academic front as well as the athletic side while on a visit to Columbus. The fifth defensive lineman in the class, Hale may have disappointed other undecided recruits by taking the final spot on the d-line.

Braxton Miller Huber Heights Wayne

Braxton Miller is the most exciting commitment for Ohio State so far in the class. Miller is the #1 quarterback nationally as rated by most recruiting services. He had many of the top programs across the country offering scholarships but stayed with the in-state powerhouse. He looks to take over the team when current junior quarterback Terrelle Pryor graduates in two years.

Cornerback Dondi ‘Tweak’ Kirby Jr. from Monroeville Gateway

Dondi Kirby Jr is an uncommitted prospect from near-by Monroeville Gateway. His cover corner skills have many teams in the country looking at him for their 2011 classes. If current Buckeyes Dorian Bell and Corey Brown can convince their high school teammate to come West and play for the Buckeyes, the Buckeyes could have themselves another great corner.
